Week 4 is complete and the panic is starting to set in! I can’t believe I only have 2 more weeks to complete my kitchen makeover for the One Room Challenge. I’m also about to leave for a mini vacay this weekend so that doesn’t help. But hopefully I’ll come back refreshed to finish the space.
Since last week I have made quite a bit of progress. For starters my table makeover is complete! I’ll be sharing more on what and how I did it later. But the transformation fits the space so much better!
The weathered top is more amazing in person and I’m soo happy how it turned out.
I then started my backsplash which I wasn’t planning on doing yet, but I’m so happy I did.

It was a little more time consuming that I thought. But it doesn’t help to have to constantly stop to attend to 2 little ones! In the end I worked on it for a couple hours each day for about 4 days, so not too bad.
I still need to grout and seal, which hopefully that will be done today.
Finally, I also completed refinishing my barstools. I’ll be sharing the full tutorial later, but here’s the after. I made the top a lighter color to match the rest of my wood accents.
Next up will be painting my cabinets. I have everything sanded and prepped I’m just waiting for my new sprayer to arrive then I’ll be finishing that project.
