Spring Cleaning: Simple Ways to Tidy up your Tech

When you think of Spring Cleaning, you might only think about cleaning your house, but Spring cleaning can be so much more. This year I’ve been on a big purge phase. If I don’t use something or need it anymore, then time to get rid of it. I’ve gone through most of my home, but the last thing to tidy up is my computer.

I have days where the moment I turn on my computer I get overwhelmed. My desktop among other things is incredibly disorganized, and I have learned clutter is clutter, whether digital or physical items. Sometimes it just needs to go.

Computer Desktop

As I mentioned before, my desktop is messy and unorganized. I tend to create folders for everything which adds to the clutter. So, to help eliminate this I started creating main folders and then organized everything into those (ie. Work, Finances, Kids, etc…). I also went though all my Bookmarks and cleaned out what I no longer use and need.

Old Email’s & Contacts

Documents & Media Files
