Its week 5 of the “One Room Challenge” and I still have so much to do. Its definitely panic mode! I tried to wrap up all my projects from last week, but it was just too much. I haven’t finished my IKEA Malm dresser update but I was able to finish updating my IKEA shelf.
I started hanging my DIY book ledges and some shelves. I’ll share full tutorials on both of these later but incase you can’t wait here is a past tutorial on how to make these wood shelves for the IKEA Ekby bracket.
Thanks to Lamps Plus for being one of my sponsors; I was able to hang this swag light that fits the decor perfectly!
I also have a matching table lamp for the other side of my room.
I also built this side table from a wire waste basket and a round piece of wood. I’ll share more on that later.
Finally, I started pulling together my decor and accessories that I’ll use to decorate the room.
This last week is going to be really busy, but I’m hopeful I’ll get most of it done. There are a couple of projects I’m already thinking I’ll have to put on hold; like the accent wall, painting the crib, and building the changing table. But you never know what I’ll end up getting around to! Make sure to join me next week for the reveal of my Rustic Glam Nursery.
Here’s my latest list for the room:
Add a faux Ship-lap wall in white to all walls. I only plan to make it 1/2 the wall.Paint the rest of the room grey.- Possibly paint a accent wall with a fun pattern.
New window treatments- Paint the crib grey
- Refinish a IKEA Malm dresser
Build some small shelf’s to store booksFind a new chair & pillowsReplace the door hardwareReplace the closet doorsAdd wood details to a old IKEA Expedit bookshelfBuild some new wall shelf’s- New wall art
