It’s already time for another “One Room Challenge”! I’m excited yet nervous to tackle my next room since it’s actually 2! I’ll be designing my Modern Rustic dining and living room. This is a major project that I’ve been putting off for some time; 3 years to be exact!
To get you up to date, the room is quite large and it’s a combo room where the living portion opens up to the dining room. We previously tore out all the flooring and base molding and installed Travertine. We already painted the walls in my favorite Greige color, but I still need to install the base molding back.
Here are some before pictures, and how it looks today.
So here’s the list of to-do’s:
• Install and paint molding • Touch up wall paint
• Install new light fixtures • New curtains • Redo Buffet
• Accent Wall in living room • New Table & China Cabinet
• Install barn door • Wall art • Decorate!
This is only the basics since we really have ZERO furniture for this room but an existing buffet. I have a lot of shopping to do but I’m trying my best to keep the cost down. My inspiration will be a Modern Rustic theme. It will be a little farmhouse with a little modern.
