Week 5 of my 2nd space of the Fall 2017 One Room Challenge has been pretty busy! I was able to really start decorating and setting the space up.

First, I raised my curtain rod and added white curtains to the space. I absolutely LOVE how the room feels so much larger just by raising the curtain rod. This is something I’ve been slowly doing in every room, and it really does make a room feel larger.
Next, I setup my changing table and already stocked it. I’ll be sharing much more on that tomorrow, so stay tuned!
I finally bought new hardware from Hobby Lobby for my dresser. I still plan on updating the light grey to be darker, but you can get an idea of what it will look like.
I then started hanging up my new light fixture along with a metal cubby shelf on the opposite side of the wall. I’m pretty excited to introduce these black accents.
Finally, I pulled an old lamp I was using in my daughters room. I’m hoping to refinish the lamp shade with this fabric. It’s actually the crib sheet so I’ll have to order another one ASAP if I decide to go this route. I’m also thinking about repainting the aqua a navy color. What do you think?
To-Do’s
Here’s what’s left:
Refinish & paint the crib– Done!
New crib bedding– Done!
- New curtains & pillows- Curtains are done & pillows are ordered.
Possibly change the layout of the room– Done!
- New chair- I don’t think I’ll have space anymore.
- New rug- Purchased, just need to setup.
- New art and wall decor- Ordered & already purchased some
- Install a new ceiling fan or lighting- I have it, just need to install.
- Add Decor and Accessorize

Hello,
Loved your post very interesting and liked it a lot. While going through your blog I also think you will also like to tell your user about the importance of lights in home decor. TNTLighting.com solves this problem by sharing the range of indoor and outdoor residential lights.
