Thank you Sparkle® Tear-A-Square® for sponsoring this post.
Dinosaurs are all the rage in my house, especially with my 3 year old son. Anytime we can draw, paint, or craft with dinosaurs they’re happy. Since Summer break is here, finding new and exciting craft projects is a must. So, I thought this Paper Plate Dinosaur Craft would be perfect for them since it’s a simple craft project where you should already have all the supplies on hand. Plus, depending on how fast or slow your little ones work, it should only take 30 minutes or less. That’s about all the time my kids have attention for before it gets real messy.
Making these paper plate dinosaurs are super easy, yet, if you have toddlers then expect it to be a little messy. But, there’s nothing to worry when you have Sparkle® Tear-A-Square® paper towels on hand. These paper towels are a staple every time I visit Walmart. With Sparkle® Tear-A-Square® you have a sheet for any size mess!
These paper towels are amazing with young kids at home. No matter how hard they try, there is always some type of mess to be had. With Sparkle® Tear-A-Square® paper towels you get the option to tear full sheets, half sheets, and quarter sheets for any size of mess!
And when it comes to making these paper plate dinosaurs, you’ll love having these paper towels close by. So, want to make these Paper Plate Dinosaurs? Then here’s what you will need.
Here’s How to make Paper Plate Dinosaurs!
Supplies:
- Paper plates
- Paper towel roll
- Scissors
- Glue
- Craft acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Black Marker
- Sparkle® Tear-A-Square® paper towels, for cleanup.
After you gather everything, here’s how to make them.
- Gather your supplies.
- Cut a plate in half.
- Cut the paper towel roll into 1 1/2″ pieces, enough for 2 per dinosaur.
- Take one half of the plate and set aside, then take the other half and cut out the head, tail, and back spikes.
- Paint everything in the color of your choice. Then allow everything to dry.
- Once dry, assemble. Glue the head, tail, and back spikes onto the body.
- Draw an eye and mouth on the head.
- Cut 2 small slits into the paper towel rolls and add as the feet.
Of course any time you mix paint with kids, messes will be expected. But, the quarter size sheets were perfect for small paint spills, while the full sheets were great as place mats, and the half sheets were great for messy hands. Either way, the NEW Sparkle® Tear-A-Square® paper towels put you in control of how much you use by providing more sheet size choices. It’s amazing to be able to have control over how much paper towel you use for each job, without the waste. My kids loved the quarter sheets for cleanup on their own.
