Over-dyed {Part 2}

Again, this bag was available fabric, trim, and color so it wasn’t the prettiest thing!

This bag had a teal strap and zipper with yellow and grey striped fabric. I liked the overall shape but not the color combo. Here are some more before pics:

I decided to over-dye this bag with RIT dye in Teal. I figured the teal over-dye might compliment the strap. Again, I had no idea if it would even work but since it was free I had nothing to lose!

I followed the instructions on the package, but used the entire package of dye. After washing the bag out with cold water, I let it air dry outside. Here was my initial color results.

After drying for 24 hours the final color was a teal/lime mix. The original teal strap pretty much stayed the same color. I’ll definitely put this bag to use as a beach or gym bag.
