I so excited to share part 2 of my Fall One Room Challenge Reveal. My dining room is complete and I’m loving every part of it! If you missed the Living room reveal you can catch up on that here:
Previous weeks recap:
Week 1 // Week 2 // Week 3 // Week 4 // Week 5 // Living Room Reveal // Living Room Source List // Dining Room Reveal & Source List
As I mentioned last week my dining room table and hutch were still en route. I’m actually relieved this happened, since now I had more time to decorate the pieces exactly how I wanted.
To give you a idea of where I started on this room, here’s the before pic from 7 weeks ago.
Since then I have installed the base molding, new light fixture, curtains, barn door, new furniture, and then added the finishing touches.
Now for the after pictures! If you want to know where everything came from then you can find all the source’s below.
Finally having furniture in my dining room is pretty amazing! I can’t believe I waited this long to tackle this room; and our house is starting to finally feel like a home. Now, more of my dining room reveal.
That’s it! My new complete Modern Rustic Dining Room! If you want to know where everything came from here’s a recap on the sources.

That’s really lovely! I like the combination of modern and rustic, I’ve always seen modern contemporary or modern and classic but never rustic. I love the results!

Wonderful transformation. 🙂 Do you mind sharing what size the actual dining area is? I’m looking to design a small 10×10 area and it would help tremendously to understand how much furniture I can actually fit into that space. Thanks so much!!
Katy says
The dining room portion is about the same, 11’x10′. But it does open up to the living room, so that might make the furniture I used feel like an appropriate size. I think if it was a square closed off room the furniture might be too big.
Jennifer says
Thanks so much! My dining area is also open to formal sitting area so it isn’t an enclosed 10×10. One last thing, I tried to follow the link to the dining table but it is no longer available on the seller’s sight. Do you mind providing those dimensions as well? Again, beautiful job and thanks for the inspiration!
Katy says
Here are the dimensions: 84″w x 30″h x 40″d

Did I miss the info on the hutch?
Katy says
You can read all about that here: https://ashadeofteal.com/modern-rustic-cabinet-with-urban-home/

I followed the link but there is no info on the Cranberry furniture! I even did a search with no luck
Katy says
I think they’re out of stock. Since the item is reclaimed it might take some time to come back. Maybe try emailing them if you want to purchase it?
Pattie says
What is the paint color?
Katy says
It’s Smoked Oyster by Valspar.
