Coffee is no joke in my house, and since both my husband and I work from home we prefer making it everyday. If I don’t have my coffee by 9am then I’m not functioning! Honestly, most days I need another coffee break around 3pm.
My previous Coffee bar has got me hooked on Starbucks® coffee. More recently I started brewing Starbucks® Pike Place® Roast, and since we go through so much coffee in our house I have an excess of leftover coffee bags. So in honor of Earth day I wanted to conserve the Starbucks® bags by reusing them as plant pots.
Conservation is big in my home. I’m always looking for new ways to reuse old items rather than trashing them. These coffee bags are no exception, and every little bit helps.
A major reason I started purchasing Starbucks® Pike Place® Roast from Albertsons is because they have a campaign for “One Tree One Bag.” For every bag of Starbucks® 10-12z & 20z Ground or Whole Bean coffee purchased at participating Albertsons Company stores in the U.S. from May 1st through May 28, Starbucks provides one disease-resistant coffee tree to a farmer in Mexico, Guatemala or El Salvadorby donating 70¢ to Conservation International to foster thriving coffee communities.

Here’s how to make these simple and cute Starbucks® Coffee Bag Flower Pot’s!
Step 1 // Purchase Starbucks® Pike Place Roast from your local Albertsons and any small plant of your choice.
Step 2 // Empty the coffee out into a well sealed jar or bag for use later. Or you can wait till you have empty coffee bags.
Step 3 // Remove the “fold-able clip”.
Step 4 // Cut the corners of the coffee bag.
Step 5 // Gently fold the bag down.
Finally, add your flower or plant and you’re ready to go! I also tied a piece of twine around mine for that extra touch.
To water I just spritz with a light spray since my flowers don’t require much.
Aren’t these the cutest? Don’t forget to purchase your Starbucks® Pike Place® Roast from Albertson’s to support “One Tree One Bag.” You can find it in the coffee aisle.
Check out the special Starbucks “One Tree One Bag” commitment display in the coffee aisle!
What’s your favorite way to conserve? Always remember, every little bit helps!
Enjoy!
