I did not receive any monetary compensation in exchange for writing this post. However, I did receive a complimentary light fixture from Linea di Liara to review. All opinions and comments are 100% mine, I only promote products I believe in.
I’m so excited to share my new light fixture. A couple of months ago Linea di Liara asked if I would be interested in trying out their product, well of course I said yes! Since the day we moved into our home I had replacing my Hall bath light fixture on the list of to-dos. You can see why below!
The original light was a builder grade light from 1987! Yep, it was pretty outdated. As you can see I just painted around it since I knew I would repaint it when I finally got to changing the light.
If you haven’t checked out Linea di Liara’s website you need to. They offer some really great designs at amazing prices. I went with this Terracina Four-Light Vanity Lamp in Polished Chrome and Opal Glass.
First, a little disclaimer; I’m not at all a professional electrician. Please refer to a professional or the instructions for installation. With that said, I have installed several lights in my home with the help of my dad. He is a licensed contractor so I always rely on him for major projects, especially electrical work.
To get things started I removed the old light fixture. This is when you should finish the painting, but of course I forgot that step.
The existing wall mount was perfect for the new light. So we ground the wire then attached the rest of the wires; black with black and white with white (please reference the instructions).
Next step was to attach the light fixture on with the screws.
Right here is when it dawned on me I probably should have painted first. As you can see below the last light fixture required extra wail mount screws so I also needed to patch 2 holes.
So, I look it down and patched, spackled, sanded, and painted. I then repeated the steps to re-install the light. Don’t forget to use a level to make sure its straight.
Once I had it in place I was ready to add the glass light shade’s. To do this you’ll need to unscrew the socket ring.
Just add the socket ring back and the light bulbs and your done!
I absolutely love the design of this fixture. One of the main reasons we put this bathroom off so long was because I haven’t been able to find a fixture I love. It suits everything in this bathroom, plus installation was soo easy.
