Easy Doormat Update with Spray Paint

My front doormat was getting gross and faded from the sun and my initial thought was to throw it away and buy a new one. But then I realized how easy it would be to just spray paint it new!

Here’s the before of my gross doormat.

For some reason our dogs fur is allover it. I’m really not sure how this happens but its not the most welcoming display to our home!

So I cleaned it really good then I taped off the new stripes I wanted. I pretty much kept it the same as it originally was, but you can create what ever pattern you want. I then used whatever spray paint I had on hand and added a couple layers to each stripe.

Here’s the after.

I ended up having almost the same color paint as the original stripes. It looks soo much better. Now if I can only keep the dog fur off of it!
