Thank you Facebook Marketplace for sponsoring this post. There’s something for everyone!
Every December, I always wish there was a way I could earn extra money for all those holiday gifts. A seasonal holiday job would be great, but it would end up being way too complicated with finding sitters for 3 kids. This year, I have found the perfect solution – Facebook Marketplace!
Every time I log into Facebook, I see suggestions for Facebook Marketplace. I never really thought twice about it until I had a friend tell me how easy it was to use, and how she got rid of all her old baby items. Well, I finally gave it a try and I honestly wish I did this sooner!
Over the years, I have acquired so much furniture, especially from when I was renovating pieces all the time. I also have a bunch of other items that I no longer need or use, so Facebook Marketplace has become the perfect place to declutter my home and make money.
Plus, it’s the perfect way to earn extra cash this holiday season, and it’s so easy to do! If you have never used Facebook Marketplace, here’s a quick rundown.
First, you only need a Facebook account to use Facebook Marketplace. Next, when it’s time to communicate about items you are buying or selling, just use Messenger. This takes the hassle out of unwanted phone calls and text messages. Since it’s all done through Facebook, you can also view someone’s public profile before selling or buying. Finally, you can save searches for items you’re on the lookout for, then have alerts setup when they become available.
It’s also incredibly easy to navigate through. To get started, just find Facebook Marketplace on your Facebook app.
Next, you can either search to buy, or click the “Sell Something” button to get started selling. I recently listed my old dresser and nightstands, all of which I have renovated a couple years ago.
Then, simply navigate through the prompts to what you’ll be selling.
Finally, add your description, price, any extra info you want to mention, and pictures, then you’re ready to post your listing.
It took less than 5 minutes to add the listing, and within a couple hours I already had an offer! I honestly wished I had tried Facebook Marketplace sooner since it’s an easy, convenient way to discover, buy, and sell items. Perfect to earn extra cash this holiday season.
So, what’s your holiday side hustle? Have you ever bought or sold on Facebook Marketplace before? Did you find it as easy to use as I did?
Enjoy!
