Here’s part 2 of my Wheat Grass Crate. If you missed the building of the crate check it our here
What you’ll need to grow the Wheat Grass:
-Box or Crate to grow it in
-Some type of plastic liner
-Wheat grain
-Soil
-Water
I bought the wheat grain at our local Whole Foods, you can find it several places though. Soak the wheat grain for about 8-12 hours in a bowl of water.I did mine overnight and when I checked on it in the morning the wheat soaked up all the water and doubled in size.Next you’ll need to prep your Box or Crate. I lined my crate with a plastic shopping bag, that way water won’t escape. Then I added some garden soil.Lastly, add the soaked wheat grain to the top of the soil. I made it a pretty thick layer so once it grows it will be nice & thick. This starts Day-1.Now add some water; I used a squirt bottle to spray the water, that way I wouldn’t over water it. Time to watch it grow!
Stay tuned for Part 3.
Enjoy!
