Valentines Day is right around the corner and this year I decided to decorate my mantle. I’m going with a white/gold/pink theme and first off is an easy tutorial on how to make a Valentines Day Love Sign.
To make this you’ll need the following:
- Shutter Window frame/art, I bought mine at Michaels.
- LOVE letters
- Gold glitter or Spray glitter
- ModPodge
- Clear coat spray paint
- Ribbon
- Tape
First I painted my letters with the ModPodge then sprinkled with the gold glitter. My gold glitter spray paint was out so I opted for this route, but both will work. Of course I didn’t take a picture of this; but I did for another project. Its the same idea.
I repeated this step for all letters and let them dry. Once dry and well covered I brought the letters outside and sprayed them with a clear semi-gloss overcoat. This will help keep the glitter in place and from falling off.
Then I attached a ribbon to the back of each letter. The letters I chose already came with these nails so it made this process really easy.
Last I taped the ribbon to the back of the shutter and my sign was done.
I added a couple pieces of tape to the “V” to help keep that letter in place.
This was a super simple project that turned out great! I’ll be sharing more projects next week so stop by to see them.
Enjoy!

This is such a cute idea!!! <3 Valentine's Day makes me think of red and pink which can be a bit garish, but this sign is so tasteful – and who can resist glitter, amiright!? 😉 ahaha!
