I made these Jelly Fish lanterns for my daughters 2nd Birthday Party. The theme was “Under the Sea” since it was a pool party. Their really easy to make and I’ll show you how!
Supplies:
Paper Lanterns, I made 7
Spray Paint, if you want a different color
Lots of Ribbon
Tape
I already had a bunch of lanterns leftover from my wedding. They were all white, so rather than buying new colored lanterns I figured I spray paint some aqua.
While the paint dried I started making the white lanterns. First, assemble the lantern’s, I then tied it to a chair so it would be easier to attach the ribbons.
Next, start adding your ribbon. I used tape to secure it to the lantern. I ended up using 3 different types of ribbon and added 12 pieces per lantern.
Once the aqua lanterns were dry I started the same process with the ribbons.
I hung all of them on the ceiling using ribbon and a clear thumbtack.
That’s it! They were so easy to make. I’ll share the rest of the party details next week, so stay tuned.
Enjoy!
