A while back I shared 10 of The Best Beginner Projects using your Cricut, and one of those projects was this Watercolor Summer Vibes Sign.
I love making custom signs, they’re great for seasonal decor, party decor, and so much more. What’s great is that they are super easy to make, perfect for beginners learning how to use their Cricut machine. So here’s how to make this Watercolor Summer Vibes Sign.

For this particular sign I wanted to add some mixed media elements to it, that’s where the Watercolor came in place. I love watercolor art, in the past I have purchased several art prints with it, however I’ve never thought to create my own. Let me tell you…it’s so easy! I forgot how easy it truly was.
So with a premade wood sign, here’s how I quickly made this sign.
Materials Needed:
- Summer Vibes Bike Art
- Premade Wood Sign, I found mine at Hobby Lobby but here’s a similar option.
- Permanent Vinyl or Removable Vinyl
- Transfer Tape

Step 3 || Setup the art to fit the size you need. Then follow the prompts on Design Space to start cutting the Vinyl. Then cut and weed the vinyl and set aside.
Step 4 || Once the watercolor page is dry go ahead and cut out the bicycle.
Step 5 || Next, carefully remove the card stock from the mat. You’ll want to use the spatula tool for this.
Step 6 || Next, glue the watercolor bicycle to your wood sign. I just used a basic glue stick.
Step 7 || Finally, apply the vinyl to the wood with transfer tape.
Here’s the after!
