Cricut DIY: Vacation Fund Jar

I have never been more ready for a vacation than this year. 2020 was a doozy and I’m ready to start adding to my vacation fund with a new Vacay Fund Jar! My family and I missed out on celebrating major milestones last year, like a 10 year wedding anniversary, and last Summer we didn’t go anywhere. But 2021 Summer is here, and we’re ready. So ready, I’ve made a Vacation Fund Jar to get us excited.

At this point I’ll take any type of getaway, and I’m hoping this Vacation Fund Jar will help get us there. You can get ready for you’re next Vacation too with a custom Vacay Fund Jar! Learn how to make it with your Cricut machine. Here’s what you’ll need.

Materials Needed:

Glass Jars, I found mine at Hobby Lobby but here’s a similar option.
Permanent Vinyl or Removable Vinyl
Transfer Tape
Cricut Explore Air 2 or Cricut Joy
Essential Tool Set

Here’s How to make a Vacation Fund Jar!

Step 1 || You can grab the art in Cricut Design Space HERE.

Don’t have Cricut Access? If you haven’t already signed up for Cricut Access, I suggest you do. You get access to tons of graphics and art elements to create your own designs. Check out Cricut Access HERE.

Step 2 || Setup the art to fit the size you need. Then follow the prompts on Design Space to start cutting each color.

Step 3 || Next, cut and weed the vinyl.

Step 4 || Next, transfer each color of Vinyl to Transfer Paper. This makes it much easier when applying to the jar.

Step 5 || Next, apply the vinyl to the jar and slowly remove the transfer tape.

Last but not least, start filling up that jar with Vacay Money! After a very long year of Covid, I’ve never been more ready to fill a vacation fund jar. Now to plan a vacation!
