CRICUT DIY: “PINCH PROOF” ST PATRICK’S DAY SHIRT. LEARN HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE SHIRT WITH IRON-ON VINYL AND THE CRICUT EXPLORER AIR 2 & CRICUT EASYPRESS 2.
St Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and in my house we like to celebrate our Irish roots. Every year I try to find my kids cute shirts, with no luck. So, I finally decided to make them myself, and with Cricut it’s so easy to do it.
Here’s how you can make your own St Patrick’s Day shirt too.

The first shirt I made was for my 2 year old son. I designed my own artwork that you can get in my ETSY shop Here. Then I grabbed an old white shirt we had for him and started making it.

Here’s How to make this “Pinch Proof” St Patrick’s Day Shirt!
Step 1 || First you’ll need to either create your own art, purchase my “Pinch Proof” St Patrick’s Day art HERE, or find ready made art in Cricut Design Space.
(If you haven’t already signed up for Cricut Access, I suggest you do. You get access to tons of graphics and art elements to create your own designs. Check out Cricut Access HERE.)
Step 2 || Next, upload the art to Design Space and size the art accordingly to your shirt.
Step 3 || Follow the prompts on Design Space to start cutting each Iron-On Vinyl color, and don’t forget to click the “Mirror” button before you cut.
Step 4 || After the Vinyl has been cut, weed the art.
Step 5 || Then you’ll need to figure out placement on the shirt. For my graphic I needed to layer the art, so I applied the green Iron-On first, followed by the black. To do this I laid out both colors to make sure placement was exactly where I wanted it. Then I removed the black Iron-On and used my Cricut EasyPress 2 to apply the green Iron-on. Don’t forget to us the correct temperature setting.
Not sure what temperature or Time to set?
Remember that the temperature, time, and pressure vary by base material AND iron-on type. Before starting a new project, it’s always best to confirm time and temperature settings. A great place to do that is here >>> Cricut Heat Guide
Step 6 || Once the green Iron-on has been applied and the liner removed, add back the black Iron-on and apply with the Cricut EasyPress 2, and you’re done.
Here’s the after.
Isn’t it too cute! Don’t forget to grab the art in my ETSY shop below, it comes in SVG, PNG, EPS, and JPG.
