With Christmas right around the corner it’s time to start baking cookies, wrap presents, and get into the holiday spirit. I’m sure like most with little kids, it’s a tradition to bake and leave out cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. This year I wanted to update our Christmas cookie plate, and I did that with my Cricut Joy. Learn how to make this easy “Christmas Cookies for Santa” Plate!

Christmas Cookies for Santa Plate
First things first, you’ll need to grab some supplies. For my plate I found a basic plate at Target for $3. It’s a light grey/white color and it’s a perfect blank to add Vinyl to.
For this particular project I used my Cricut Joy, but of course it can also be done on an Explorer Air 2. Here’s the rest of the supplies, and you can grab the FREE art below as well.
Supplies:
- Plate, I used this Stone one.
- Permanent Smart Vinyl, in colors of choice
- Permanent Shimmer Smart Vinyl, in colors of choice
- “Cookies for Santa” Art
- Transfer Tape
- Cricut Joy
- Starter Tool Set

Steps:
- Download the art, here.
- Size the art to your plate.
- Prepare your Vinyl either on a mat or not, and follow the rest of the prompts on Design Space to start cutting the Vinyl.
- After everything is cut, then you can Weed out the designs.
- Next, transfer your Vinyl to Transfer Paper.
- Finally, apply the Vinyl to the plate and your done!
I originally only planned to use the Silver Shimmer stars, but you don’t see it as much on my plate, so I added additional red stars. Here’s the after.
Isn’t is too cute, it will be perfect for years & Christmases to come!
