Hello! Welcome If your discovering my blog through “One Room Challenge”! I’m so excited to be back for round 2 of One Room Challenge. I had so much fun last round, plus I have a completed office that I love. In case you missed my Office makeover you can catch up on all the posts here:

If you haven’t heard about the One Room Challenge its hosted by Calling It Home. The challenge goes on for 6 weeks where I’ll update you each Thursday with the progress I’ve made. This time I have chosen to complete my Bonus Room.
My Bonus room is located up stairs at the end of our hall. It’s a really large room that has been used as storage for the last 2 years. We also started to throw our daughters outgrown toys in it. So I plan to transform the room into a play room, craft room, and media room. Our biggest task is to add storage to the room, since it currently has none.
This is how the room currently looks, granted we have a bunch of items thrown in there for storage. These pics were taken when we bought our home 2 tears ago. But nothing has been done to the room aesthetically.
For some reason the previous owners never installed the moulding or had outlet covers on. They also ripped out large built-ins that left us with a bunch of patching to do.
To start things off I have my inspiration board. I plan to keep the colors similar to the rest of my house; grey, white, teal!
So, here’s my plan for the room:
- Add a real Ship-lap accent wall in charcoal.
- Paint the rest of the room grey.
- Add all the moulding
- Window treatments
- Add some large cabinets plus extra shelving for storage.
- New TV!!!!
- Decorate the blank walls with art
- Finally decorate the room so both my daughter and I can use it to its full potential. I hope to be able to work in here while she plays.
