My yard has been a constant work in progress for about a year now. It seems like other projects have taken priority over it, but I’m finally ready to start getting back at it. The first project That’s getting me excited again is my gate. Last year we replaced our wood fence with a new block wall fence and a new modern gate.
I love the design of it with the horizontal slats, but the unfinished wood needed a major update. So I’m finally getting around to staining it, and the quickest way to do that is with my Super Finish Max Sprayer from HomeRight!
Do want to learn how to quickly stain a gate? To get started you’ll need the following supplies:
Materials Needed:
After you gather your supplies you’ll need to prep the space. I prepped the surrounding walls and ground for over spray. I also lightly sanded & dusted the gate to clean it off.
For the stain color I went with one of my favorites, Dark Walnut! Once everything was prepped I started spraying.
I used a rag to wipe away any excess stain. and 10 minutes later, my gate was finished! I think I spent more time prepping and cleaning up then actually staining the gate. I love a project like that!
The Super Finish Max Sprayer made this project so quick and easy! Next up will be finishing our landscape in our front yard.
Here’s another before and after shot.
