Since this is my daughter’s 1st Easter I wanted to find the perfect Easter Basket. The only problem…I can’t find anything I like. I understand most baskets sold today have characters or are super cheesy!!! But I wanted something that is more simple and unique.
So, as usual I decided to make my own! I started off finding a basket I liked, this was from Michael’s and cost about $10.
I originally was planning on painting it but then realized I’ve been wanting to use Baker’s Twine for awhile now. I already had some teal, but then found this at Target.
I started wrapping the handle with the twine by tying it in a knot then wrapping until I was done with that color.
I continued this till I had the handle how I wanted it.
Next, I got out my stain. I used the same color that I stained my DIY Mail Basket, which was using Minwax Wood Stain in “Classic Gray 271″.
Finally, I added these cute bows I found at Target in their gift section.
I also ended up removing some of the Baker’s twine at the strap, it was too much against the bows.
Now, She’ll have the perfect Easter Basket for years to come!
Enjoy!
