DIY- Old CD/DVD Tower turned Spray Paint Shelf

I’m sure a lot of you out there have a old CD or DVD rack lying around and you probably want to toss it. At least that’s what I was about to do with mine. I moved all my CDs and DVDs into a closed cabinet and the thought of having a open exposed case is just not what most people want these days. So, why not reuse it, and better yet make it functional again. That was my thought process!

So, I decided to take old scrap wood and cut it to size to make flat shelf’s for each section. I also decided I would reuse it for a Spray Paint rack. I plan to store it in my garage and its perfect because it fits so many cans and they are all displayed easily.

So here is the before; just a boring old rack.

Since this would display spray paint I figured I’d give it a new color. And of course that color would be Teal!
I cut the wood pieces to fit the shelf and then stained them to give it a little more interest.

I  gathered up all my spray paint and that’s it! Have you re-used a CD/DVD rack?

Enjoy!

Did you try putting books on the shelves?

No, but you definitely can, especially small books. Good idea!
