Furniture Makeovers

Before+After: Dresser Set

I found this piece sold as a 4 piece set for a really great price. It came with a matching tall dresser and 2 nightstands all in really good shape.

I made my own chalk paint with a white color from Valspar, then added a light grey paint for details & distressing. It’s finished with a coat of poly. The hardware is all original and painted with Rust-Olem Metallic spray paint in Oil Rubbed Bronze.

Enjoy!

I’m new to “distressing” …….. How did you make your own “chalk paint”?? A friend of mine uses PLASTER OF PARIS,
but I others make it differently. The Plaster of Paris was very hard to SAND PAPER thru to the previous color.

I use any type of paint mixed with un-sanded grout. I use about 1cup paint to 1 tbsp grout and mix. Hope this helps!
